Beaches

The East Beach at Bognor Regis is a 2013 Seaside Award-winning sand and shingle beach. This is a popular beach for families, with life guard patrols and plenty of activities to keep young and old happy.

The Aldwick beach is a popular, shingle beach along the coast to the west of the famous Bognor Regis Pier. There is a promenade train running the length of the beach and the Marine Park Gardens and West Park are nearby.

For something a little different at the beach why not try the Flex on the Beach Fitness Trail while at Bognor Regis. It is held on either beach so take your pick.

Pack the buckets and spades, and a few sandwiches and spend the day exploring the stunning beaches of Bognor Regis. Splash around in the sea, build a castle or two, you could even try a bit of beach cricket.

Kids will love all the watersports on offer on this part of the UK’s coast. It’s great for sailing, windsurfing and other on-the-water activities. Plus, when the tide goes out, the flat sands on the beach are perfect for a bit of beach volleyball or tennis.

The Marine Park Gardens are to the West of Bognor Regis, there is an 18 hole putting green, perfect for kids, plenty of seating and water fountain at the western end of the gardens.

You could try Hotham Park, which has its very own miniature railway with mini station, as well as a boating lake, cafe, putting green and play area. Or take a trip on the Bluebell Railway. Where real preserved steam engines pull restored carriages.

For a truly inspiring day out with the kids, why not pay a visit to Arundel Castle. With spectacular views over the South Downs and the River Arun, this amazing slice of history itself isn’t all that you’ll be enjoying; the castle also plays host to a wide range of activities and events year round, perfect for the whole family.

For the Grown-ups

The keen golfers amongst you can tee off at Bognor Regis Golf Club. There’s also seaside mini golf opposite the pier for those looking for something a bit more laid back.

In Bognor Regis, the Edwardian Shopping Arcade is just a stone’s throw away from the beach. There’s a mix of purse-friendly high street chains and local, independent shops in the town along with traditional seaside souvenir shops packed with gifts, postcards and sticks of rock!
