Escape to a rural haven

High on the North Yorkshire moors, Moors Lodge is a unique rural haven with traditional features yet discreet technology. Light the logs, break out the games, tip the honesty bar. Explore the moorland beauty, celebrate good company and fine food, drift off to the sound of sheep.

Raise a glass to the valley views

Once a dairy, Moors Lodge now offers the cream of holiday accommodation on the edge of the moors. Get 22 close friends together, breathe the clear air and raise a glass to the sweeping views of the valley.

Set in a unique rural setting, Moors Lodge has plenty of character mixed with modern touches. Exposed stone walls, beams and log burning fires sit side by side with Wifi and TV with surround sounds.

This sympathetically refurbished dairy with luxury furnishings has been transformed from a 19th century farm into a modern country home. Gather the family, break out the games, fire up a film and relax.

With access to a variety of country pursuits, why not explore the moorlands or walk the grounds, before gathering in the dining room for fine food. Retire to an en-suite bedroom and have a long soak, then sink into a deluxe bed and sleep deeply.

Gardens and Grounds

Moors Lodge is situated within North York Moors National Park, featuring 36 acres of spectacular grassland, woodlands and streams. There are some spectacular footpaths and walks to explore, boasting some of the finest views of the countryside.

On sunny days, book our chef for a BBQ. The table and chairs await on the terrace, gather together and take in the stunning view.

Living Spaces

Get everyone together in the sitting room, a place for you all to gather together amongst the traditional décor with modern furnishings. Spark up the chatter or curl up in front of the fire for a film night.

This is a warm and welcoming place to light the logs, tip the honesty bar with its selection of wine and beers, then settle back to review the day and make plans for tomorrow.

Bring out the board and parlour games, or take a look at the overflowing library of books covering everything from local anecdotes to walks across the fells. On which note, there’s an outside kennel so bring your dog for picturesque walks through the Hambleton Hills.

Cooking and Dining

We can advise you on chefs so you can relax while a professional handles the grills and roasts. Take a tipple from the honesty bar in the lounge then slide into the adjoining dining room.

Seating up to 22, the dining table is designed for feasts, open the curtains for stunning views; close them for the feel of a stately home, with the flagstone floors and exposed-stone walls.

Eating out? For posh nosh, the Carpenters Arms in Felixkirk showcases the best of local produce and classic British dining.

Sleeping 22 in comfort, Moors Lodge brings you nine unique bedrooms opening off the central courtyard and two more in The Spinney. After a day’s walking, shooting or fishing, there’s nowhere better to relax.

Every interior-designed room has a different take on modern rural charm and they all share the view across the Hambleton Hills. Exposed-stone walls and beams dating back to another age, emphasise the charm of the building, however the modern touches add homely comfort.

The rooms are all well equipped with en suite bathrooms, for you to enjoy a long soak after a busy day exploring. You’ll then sink into top of the range beds with comfortable upholstery. There’s Wifi throughout and each room comes with a TV and sound system with connectivity options.
