Your base for sunny South Devon is The Old Vicarage in Malborough, as homely as the heat from its own Aga. With room for 22 guests plus 14 more in the East Wing and panoramic views of glorious countryside, leading to the coast just a couple of miles away.

Let the kids discover the endless acres as you explore a claret on the terrace. Bursting with light and life and wired with technology, The Old Vicarage is both warm and welcoming and fun and funky.

For action you are spoilt for choice – sail, windsurf, kayak, fish, ride, play golf and much more. Salcombe’s harbour and beaches are just a few minute’s drive away.  Here you can eat out in wonderful restaurants, cafes and pubs and do a spot of shopping at the chic boutiques.  A holiday for everyone to remember.

 

Living Spaces

Big get-togethers go with a swing here. Two lounges, a swish kitchen, dining and sleeping for 36, games room and south-facing terrace set the mood. French windows open from the lounges and games room onto the South facing terrace.

At The Old Vicarage you will be spoilt for choice, there’s a Games room with open fire, surround sound, table football, American pool, air hockey, Sony PlayStation 2 and 50” plasma screen with Sky Freeview. The Morning room with two open fires, surround sound, full Sky TV, DVD, Sony PlayStation 2 and 50” plasma, a writing desk with laptop & colour wireless printer and a double sofa bed. And the Drawing room with open fire, surround sound, full Sky TV, DVD, Sony PlayStation 2 and 50” plasma.

The Old Vicarage has wireless broadband internet and a colour laser printer. The ground floor also has an integral ipod link surround sound system which allows speakers in certain rooms to be switched off for some peace and quiet!

Cooking and Dining

We want you to enjoy every moment of your stay at The Old Vicarage so whatever your desire for food and drink, we can help. If you love cooking then help yourselves to the Aga and range well equipped kitchen. Alternatively, if you’d like a little or a lot of help then we offer everything from casseroles dropped off ready for the oven to waitress-served in-house catering. Or sample fine cuisine at one of Salcombe’s many restaurants.

Looking for a special meal without any fuss? Our highly rated chefs will prepare a celebratory meal to order, all cooked and cleared out of the way. Once the plates are cleared, they’ll leave you to enjoy the rest of the evening.

For special occasions, we can arrange all kinds of catering – from a simple buffet, to a summer BBQ or a fully catered holiday. Just let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll sort it out.

Bedrooms

Upstairs in The Old Vicarage there are 8/9 bedrooms sleeping up to 22 in comfort.  There are a further 4/5 bedrooms in the East Wing, sleeping up to 14.  Putting the two together the house sleeps 36 guests in total.

Most of the bedrooms are fitted with large TV’s with Sky TV and DVD players. The bedrooms in the main house all have ensuite bathrooms.
